The Script have been announced as the first of the major summer concerts in Dublin in 2015, playing in the home of GAA on Saturday 20th June 2015. Promoters MCD unveiled the popular Irish band will return home to Dublin and play as the headline act to be supported by American singer and songwriter Pharrell Williams.
The Script have scored a huge amount of success globally – selling over 20 million records, achieving multi-platinum status throughout the world. In Ireland, the band have amassed over 300,000 album sales of their first three albums to date. Their fourth record ‘No Sound Without Silence’ immediately shot to Number 1 in Ireland on release, and went Top 10 in a further 42 countries.
Redefining cool for a new generation, Pharrell Williams is a creative force, using music, fashion, and design to express his distinctive style. His smash hit single ‘Happy’ is undoubtedly one of the biggest hits of last year. The song has topped the charts in more than 175 countries, selling more than 2.3 million downloads worldwide while also becoming the highest-charting Oscar-nominated song in more than a decade.
